Hi, I’m Claire Lovell.

DONA Trained · Birth, Lactation, and Postpartum

Claire was inspired after a difficult first birth to learn more about childbirth, pregnancy and lactation and it quickly became a passion to support women in their pregnancies and postpartum periods. She has been honored to spend over 9 years supporting pregnant women. She is a DONA trained doula in childbirth and lactation offering birth, prenatal, and postpartum services.

Her own births have run the gamut from a Northern California birthing center to NY's largest hospital, giving Claire unique perspective across the many ways and places women can give birth. Additionally, Claire has worked as a caregiver for serious medical events outside of birth, giving her the ability to navigate the medical system with efficiency to maximally benefit patients. Claire utilizes an evidence-based and compassionate approach to advocating for parents in the birthing room. Claire offers emotional and physical assistance for all birth types and outcomes to a diverse set of families. She is honored to work with families to give them the best experience possible during their births. Postpartum, Claire offers home visits and nonjudgmental and reassuring lactation support.

Based in Armonk, NY, Claire was born and raised in Westchester County. She is the mother to two young daughters and enjoys exploring the outdoors, photography, sewing and reading outside of work.

My Approach

I believe in an evidence-based and compassionate approach to advocating for parents in the birthing room. It is an incredibly challenging physical feat, and I offer physical and mental support for each family as well as help navigating the medical system to ensure that every family has the best experience possible during their births.

Plan it

Work with me to plan the birth you want. We’ll work together to figure out what’s most important in the birthing room, the right tools for you to manage your comfort in labor, and how to navigate a medical system with control.

Achieve it

Birth is unpredictable. With a plan and my support, we will work to achieve your priorities so that you have the birthing experience you need and want. Mothers who feel empowered in the birthing room are well positioned for the sensitive postpartum period recovery.
